Single’s Inferno 2 Finale

What an absolutely thrilling end to an emotionally charged and engaging season! Single’s Inferno season 2 ends with some shocking people being left alone on the beach while some known (and unknown!) couples walk out of inferno hand in hand.

In the last 2 episodes, fan-favourites Seul-ki and Jin-young continued to visit their feelings for each other while figuring out their connections with the other contestants. However, in the end, with three options, Seul-ki provided a shocking ending choice that left the judges in tears.

Single's Inferno 2 Finale

We all knew that her feelings for Jong-woo were slowly growing. Sure, he couldn’t make her heart flutter like Jin-young, but he was sincere from the first day and stuck to his guns regardless of whether or not she gave him the attention he wanted. It’s heartening to see him finally getting through to her, although it’s interesting to note that only perseverance will not land anyone whomever they want.

Regardless of the implications, it was absolutely thrilling to watch the encounter go down, especially when Jin-young made it a point to stand beside every woman who was interested in him, making the audience (and the contestants!) wonder what the heck is going on for a split second.

Other than the choices, episode 9 gave us three meaningful paradise dates that showed us some very comforting and relatable romance between Yoong-jae and Soe-eun, who seemed like they were on their honeymoon. These segments will make you smile from ear to ear. While these two felt like they had known each other for forever, the other two were almost getting to know one another before making a serious decision.

Nadine and Jin-young’s date was slightly awkward and made him take pause, considering she is still a student who dreams of going into medicine. She also doesn’t stay in Korea, so the distance and commute would definitely have been tricky. On the other hand, although Jong-woo and Seul-ki seemed comfortable with each other, his vulnerability made Seul-ki just a bit uncomfortable but also helped get the point across.

Regardless, I feel like it was Jin-young’s hot and cold behaviour that eventually pushed Seul-ki to make the decision that she ultimately did.

Single’s Inferno 2 Couples

We all know who the estimated couples were, right? But who went home with whom?

Seul-ki had three men vying for her – Jin-young, Jong-woo and Dong-woo. Nadine and Min-su chose Jin-young. Seul-ki eventually chose Jong-woo.

Soe-eun had Yoong-jae and Han-bin for her. She chose Yoong-jae.

Even though So-e was after Yoong-jae since day one, she eventually chose Se-jun.

The remaining people were left standing alone on the island, which includes Min-su, Nadine, Se-jeong, Han-bin, Jin-young and Dong-woo.

Single’s Inferno 2 Finale Review

Personally, I felt like this was an enjoyable experience. Although they kept the format the same, they switched up the drama a bit without going off of the deep end. We didn’t know who would end up with whom till the end, except for some obvious couples.

The series really pushed Seul-ki, Nadine and Jin-young this season, and although I don’t really understand the point of Nadine being here, considering she lives in the USA, I guess they really wanted to capture the international audience.

Regardless, the simping got a bit much for me sometimes, and I felt like the series tried to push the narrative of regardless of the rejection one faces, you should just keep going after the person you like. I don’t personally like that notion since it goes into uncomfortable territories which are completely unnecessary.

Regardless, it kept the drama on a good level and gave us some really cute moments that will make you smile!
