Trolley (트롤리) is a thriller-mystery Korean drama series directed by Kim Mun-kyo, written by Ryu Bo-ri and stars Kim Hyun-joo and Park Hee-soon in lead roles. The series takes over SBS’ Monday-Tuesday 10 PM KST timeslot previously occupied by Cheer Up

The thriller series brings lawmaker Joong-do’s wife Hye-ju’s mysterious past to the forefront when one of her husband’s cases forces her to face something that she has kept a secret for all of her life, even from her husband. As the secrets are revealed to the whole world, the couple is forced to confront the demons of the past. Will their relationship and faith stand the test?

Trolley Plot

Netflix’s description of the series reads: “A sudden tragedy brings the wife of an assemblyman out of her private life and forces her to confront family secrets and her own troubling past.”

Trolley Cast

The series’s main cast includes Kim Hyun-joo and Park Hee-soon. Along with them, the series also features Kim Moo-yul, Ryoo Hyoun-kyoung, Ki Tae-young, Chung Su-bin and Jung Soo-bin, alongside others.

Hyun-joo was last seen in 2021’s Hellbound as Min Hye-jin, while Hee-soon was last seen in A Model Family as Ma Kwang-chul. This is Kim Mun-kyo’s first venture as a Korean drama director.

The Korean drama series has 16 episodes, with two episodes releasing every Monday and Tuesday.

The series is set to release on SBS and Netflix (internationally).

The series will stream from December 19, 2022, to February 07, 2023. Episode 8 will release on January 10 at 10 PM KST or around 8 PM IST.

Joong-do rises up in support of his wife, who finds the past catching up to the present. Seung-hee’s attempts at throwing mud at Hye-joo fall flat on the ground. Woo-jae delivers a threat while Soo-bin faces her own stresses.
