Emily in Paris Season 3 Twitter Review: Fashion Choices and All (Except Alfie) Make Fans’ “Blood Boil”

Emily in Paris Season 3 premiered with its usual antics on December 21, 2022, on Netflix, and instantly invited hilarious critique from the fans. Starring Lily Collins as Emily Cooper, Lucas Bravo as Gabriel, Ashley Park as Mindy, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu as Sylvie, Lucien Laviscount as Alfie, William Abadie as Antoine Lambert, Bruno Gouery as Luc, Samuel Arnold as Julien, Kate Walsh as Madeline, Kevin Dias as Benoît , and others, the series is created by Darren Star, and consists of ten episodes.

With the holiday season approaching us in full swing, it’s natural to keep an eye out for guilty-pleasures of all sorts, Emily’s Paris extravaganza is just another one on the list. Audiences swarmed on Twitter to share their load of love-hate relationship with the American drama series after the first day of its streaming itself and the show’s title started trending on the platform.

Many viewers who made the effort to watch it in a single sitting were taken aback by the writing choices the third season went ahead with. The new season seemed to have taken a step back in time in terms of keeping up with fads and references to pop culture moments. Fans didn’t really warm up to Emily’s fashion choices still being stuck in 2012, as was pointed out by one of the Twitter users. Others even claimed that her wardrobe aesthetic seemed to have declined since the first two seasons, so much so, that it felt as if the “producers are definitely trolling us”.

A train of messages also drove the fans apart on who should’ve been the endgame with Emily. On some occasions, the audiences relied on Gabriel and Mindy, but other than that, they’ve mostly had enough of the characters having been all over the top. This covered nearly every single character on the show, except Alfie, for whom fans couldn’t stop tweeting that he deserved better.
