Blurr Trailer Breakdown: Taapsee Pannu Digs Deep in Zee5’s Murder Mystery Thriller

Blurr is an upcoming thriller film that revolves around a twin sister investigating the reason behind the death of her sibling. The horror thriller is directed by Ajay Bahl and stars Taapsee Pannu in the titular role and is based on the Spanish language flick Julia’s Eyes (2010).

The complete cast of the film includes Gulshan Devaiah (That Girl in Yellow Boots, Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota), Abhilash Thapliyal, Babita Anant, and Sorab Chauhan and Kruttika Desai. Furthermore, Sudhir K Chaudhary serves as the cinematographer while Manish Pradhan heads the editing department.

The trailer of the horror thriller starts with Gayatri (played by Taapsee Pannu) looking for her twin sister Gautami, along with her scared husband. Moreover, we also get a closer look at the family when the camera pans to the framed photo including both sisters, posing together with Neel (Gulshan Devaiah).

Notably, the shock in the official clip comes quite early when Neel discovers the body of Gautami, hanging inside her room, under mysterious circumstances. It then shifts to an investigating tone, when cops classify the case as another suicide, and Gayatri refuses to accept the working theory. She believes that her sister could have never done such a thing, and starts her separate investigation to find the truth.

The two-minute thirty-three seconds footage then provides more context to the setup, by switching back and forth from Gautami to Gayatri. It is revealed that the former was suffering from progressive blindness and also tried to operate her eyesight before she ultimately took her own life.

Meanwhile, Gayatri continues her own hunch, which leads her to some hard-hitting evidence that adds more mystery to the case. However, Neel restricts her from risking mental peace to uncover the complete truth. Thereby, shifting some sort of suspicion on the not-so-innocent husband.

The situation turns more tense and gripping when Gayatri finds out about some eccentric individuals associated with her sister and notices that her own husband has concealed a vital truth. We even see, a blindfolded Taapsee Pannu struggling to locate her way out in the final part of the trailer, while she gets chased by a mysterious person.

During the last thirty seconds, we can observe some fast-moving montages from the film, that hint towards a deeper meaning behind Gautami’s suicide, along with Gayatri’s attempt to fight someone. At last, the clip leaves us on a cliffhanger, when the twin sister becomes completely blind, and fails to identify the incoming torchlight from the cop.

Notably, the film is produced under the banner of Outsider Films and Echelon Productions and distributed by Zee5. It is also the official Hindi remake of Guillem Morales’s Spanish-language movie.
