Emancipation brings us another trailer and we are looking forward to the historical action once again that will bring us the right amount of thrill. Directed by Antoine Fuqua, the movie stars Will Smith, Ben Foster, Grant Harvey, David Denman, Charmaine Bingwa, and Imani Pullum, alongside other cast members.
Emancipation revolves around a slave who forges a torturous route through the swamps of Louisiana to escape from the plantation owner who almost killed him.
The latest trailer shows Peter’s (Will Smith) struggle as he is captured by the Whites to become a slave, however, once a free man always a free man. Peter’s determination to return to his family never dies and he is ready to take the route through a deadly swamp and a war he may not return from to prove that he is free.

The trailer shows him making his way through the swamp that is filled with deadly predators he has to fight against while he is being chased by his enemies who are on their high horses and have hunting dogs searching for him. And he continues to hide and run, but he never stops or gets caught by the people who wanted to enslave him.
As his family continues to await the return that he had once promised, Peter makes his way to Lincoln’s army to fight in a battle that can win back his freedom for years to come. As he recollects the torturous time he spent with the enslavers who called themselves his God, he is proud that he could never be broken by their whips and lashes.
The wounds on his back speak of his struggle to reach fight for his freedom, but this is also the time when he begins his true battle against those who tried to take away his rights.

The black and white trailer brings another layer of amazement to this historical thriller as we are truly taken back in time to the time when the struggle for freedom ran in the blood of warriors. The ones who fought for the present we lived in should be remembered and this film will be doing exactly that.
The trailer really brings goosebumps and excites us all for the upcoming film, and knowing that this is a film based on true events only adds fuel to our eagerness.

Emancipation is set to release on December 2, 2022, and on December 9, 2022, on AppleTV+.
