In this episode of Reincarnated as a Sword, also known as Tensei shitara Ken Deshita or 転生したら剣でした, we watched Fran not give up even in an adverse situation. But how did the episode fare compared to the previous ones? Let us find that out.

I have tried my best to keep the review as spoiler free as possible, but there are certain elements that I had to mention to give proper feedback.
Reincarnated as a Sword Episode 6 Review and Recap – Fighting for Loved Ones
The point where we left in the previous episode was a huge cliffhanger, and this entire week, there was only one thought in our minds. How will Fran be able to defeat the demon, as well as how will she save her life?
But the answer is not as simple as we have thought; the makers did not go for the apparent overpowered main character route who will be able to defeat the demon easily. The episode starts with Fran struggling against her enemy as there is an apparent difference of powers between them.
It is obvious that in the current situation, Fran is not capable enough to kill a high-level B-ranked monster like this one. Even though she is not happy with this fact, she accepts it and tries her best to assist Teacher in arriving at a strategy that can help them both.

Fran, while fighting, realises how she is not fighting for herself anymore. Previously she wanted to fight because she wanted to evolve, but now, she wants to defeat the demon because she wants to protect the people with whom she has crafted a bond.
Thankfully, due to a good plan from Teacher, Fran reaches her goal. It is obvious that she could not have achieved such an impossible win alone. And with that, Teacher here shows us why he is the hero of the anime, and it is not Fran who is the overpowered MC of this universe, but he is.
He is easily one of the best anime mentors, there to protect and guide his student in any situation. We also see how he is the strategist between the two who knows when to strike and from where it would hurt the most.

This episode was quite heavy on action scenes and revealed more secrets of the dungeon to the audience. The fact that a dungeon master is the soul of a dungeon, and killing them can completely destroy all the other beings inside, is information that can be useful even in the future.
The recurring theme of levelling up is also shown here, and Fran does get her hand on a power that can change the course of any battle easily.
Verdict
Episode 6 was a fun and entertaining episode that didn’t deliver above my expectations or perform below them. Again this anime will be most enjoyed by people who are into isekais, so I will recommend watching the show with that information in mind. Till now, the pacing has not been an issue, and not many essential characters have been introduced yet. But nonetheless, the anime makes sure that you come back every week for its likeable characters and enjoyable storyline. You can watch the series on HIDIVE.
