The trailer for the film starts with an immediate explosion inside the Norwegian mountains, with an elderly couple amidst the abyss of destruction. The next scene tries to find the reasoning behind the weird platonic shifts in the mountains, and the scientific phenomenon responsible for the same.

However, the authorities fail to find a competent person for the job and settle for a palaeontologist ( played by Marie Wilmann). Soon enough the authorities learn that she is the best person for the investigation, as the platonic shift isn’t related to a scientific phenomenon, but rather confined to a historical myth.

Troll, the mythical creature of Nordic Folklore was awakened by the sudden explosion and is now on the verge to establish its existence. The afraid authorities decide to eliminate the ancient danger before it attempts to harm their kind. The trailer further features the palaeontologist convincing the authority to look beyond the destruction and find a mutual solution. All while escaping the nordic creature, with the help of the army.

The fantasy film is helmed by the makers of Tomb Raider and The Wave and promises to be a distinct feature with a high dose of adrenaline. The action pieces look breathtaking and are scaled by the use of top-notch CGI and VFX. Furthermore, it will be Marie Willman’s latest feature after the War Drama flick War Sailor.
