Hellhole on Netflix: All About Upcoming Polish Horror

Netflix’s upcoming Polish horror Hellhole is all set to take us back to 1987 Poland and witness the secrets of a monastery cut off from the world with secrets of its own. The film is ready to bring us a face to face with horrifying secrets that involve a monk and several tormented inmates.

With the month of horror slowly coming to an end, the need for a scary movie is only growing and Netflix is bringing to us just that with more horror released this month. We have already witnessed a number of scary movies, and while not every one of them did it right, the search for a good horror never stops. And with Hellhole, let us hope that this one brings us a good scare for the season.

Hellhole follows a policeman who enters the monastery while posing as a clergyman and tries to investigate the mysterious disappearances that have been taking place. However, what he finds is an even darker and deeper secret that keeps him trapped in a place that is not easy to exit.

The trailer shows a monk performing an exorcism on a woman who seems to have been possessed while a man records the scene and the policeman, who hides among the members of the monastery, witnesses the happenings. The monk continues to chant powerful words for help as the woman twists and turns and soon screams, showing the face of the devil which shocks the cameraman and the policeman present there.

The trailer really intrigues us with the sneak peek it has given to us while the plot brings us closer to wanting to watch the horror. But will this film really stand up to its Horror tag? We will find out soon and until then, let us bring to you all that you need to know about this upcoming film.

Netflix’s synopsis of the film reads: “In 1087 Poland, a police officer investigating mysterious disappearances infiltrates a remote monastery- and discovers a dark truth about its clergy.”

  1. Another anti Catholic offering for us to suffer through. All the typical stereotypes are here. Lying monks, dark rituals, etc. We’ve been here a hundred times already. Nobody in the Church is truly good. Frauds abound. Monks are magicians, not actual exorcists. If such movies were made about Islam or Judaism, there would be hell to pay, but movies like this are made about Catholicism all the time, and nobody blinks an eye. Catholics are weary of this, but, like Christ, we accept this suffering as something Christ told us would happen to those who follow Him.
