The documentary starts off with a piano solo played by Risa Oribe, who introduces us to the sole element of her life – music. The singer-songwriter explains that it’s the only thing that she has been doing her whole life consistently and has further no plans to stop. Moreover, the narration of the documentary shifts to several real-life footage of Risa with her siblings and her family.

The subtitle of the documentary derives its meaning from the life motto of LiSA, which is to believe in oneself and to ensure that it will be a good day. This feature explores how the positive message has worked for both her personal and professional life.

The trajectory of the documentary revolves around the inception of her musical career. Starting from her teenage punk rock band Chuky, to her first break with Anime theme songs. Notably, multiple behind the scene moments where the singer pans out the theme song of Demon Slayer will be a delight to watch for any Anime fan.

Other than that, the documentary has several moments of recording sessions. Mostly filled with LiSA’s artistic approach and the team contribution that goes behind it. The process of coming up with the perfect rock theme is meticulous, rigorous and painstaking. However, the end result (shown in the form of live concerts and tours) makes the entire thing worth the effort.

There are many pop star documentaries floating around on different OTT platforms. But what makes this J-Pop star’s journey different from others is her acknowledgement of her dual identity. Risa has no issues in accepting that LiSA is a finer, braver and riskier version of her personality.

In fact, the Japanese singer makes a clear distinction between the two. In her words, she explains that LiSA is a fan favourite rock star, to whom the entire team has to contribute equally. It simply means that Risa has punched in all her hard work to maintain the prolific image of LiSA. Mostly because she is not a fake version or an alternate type but rather an honest and hard-working representation of herself.
