The Zone Survival Mission has been an entertaining variety show that not just got us laughing the whole time but always ended with a lesson for us all. Bringing the members participating in the middle of a catastrophe zone, the show really did its part in entertaining and teaching us something important.
Directed by Cho Hyojin and Kim Dongjin, starring the Running Man series Lee Kwang-soo and Yoo Jae-suk along with Kwon Yuri. The Zone Survival Mission takes the players to different zones with a specific stimulation that triggers challenges for the group. All they have to do is survive for four hours in the disaster-simulated virtual space.
This variety show was filled with moments that got us laughing throughout the 8 episodes, and while we have loved every single one of these comic scenes, there are some that stood out more than the rest. The Zone Survival Mission: 5 Best Moments!
Zone 1: Eye Zone
The show definitely started with a blast and the first episode has to be among the best when it comes to the hilarious entertainment the trio brought to us. While the eye kept popping out from every corner in this episode, the best has to be when Kwang-soo got covered in glue and ruined his hair for the day. The struggle and the mess did not just make his co-stars laugh at this moment but also every single viewer.
Zone 4: Safety Zone
This has to be one of the funniest zones which hardly gave us a moment without laughing. However, the scene that stood out the most in this episode has to be Kwang-soo and Jae-suk leaning on each other while blocking the door for Yuri to get out. Their continuous screaming really tested Yuri’s patience in this zone and the happiness of leaving this behind was quite evident on her face when she got to leave first.
Zone 5: Brain Zone
This was a zone that was the hardest for us to decipher and it wasn’t until the members failed the zone did we get to know what the simulation here really was. However, the highlight and the most hilarious moment in this episode has to be Jae-suk getting up for some Ramen soup which led to the failure. This was one of the best in both comedy and annoyance which we cannot forget for a long time.

Zone 6: Money Zone
Another zone with Jae-suk as the MVP has to be the Money zone. This could have been the easiest zone to pass if it weren’t for Jae-suk going all-in when it came to gambling. While it was also quite a nerve-wracking episode, the final scenes of the members failing after having gambled all their money away were definitely among the best scenes of this show.
Zone 4: Safety Zone
Yes, we are back to the haunted house Safety Zone because this was one place that had numerous comic scenes which couldn’t have been cut out and finally had to be split into two episodes. There is a tie between the scene where Jae-suk and Kwang-soo are struggling in the house all alone and the scene where the three are enjoying instant ramen in a haunted house while sharing a laugh. However, I have to say that the latter wins this time, simply because I still find it unbelievable and yet funny.
