House of the Dragon Episode 8 Reactions: King Viserys at the Center of all the Emotional Uproar

In what is being called the best episode in television history, House of the Dragon Episode 8 has garnered some very strong reactions. Serving as the longest episode of the season, the latest release has the fans raving about Paddy Considine’s performance at its peak. There’s no doubt that throughout the season he’s been rather perturbed about his kingdom and children, but with the new one out of the bag, King Viserys has been to the edge completely.

Having aired on October 9, 2022, episode 8 has once again upped the stakes. It goes without saying that the GOT spinoff has surpassed everyone’s expectations, with each release just making it even better. All the action that transpired during this episode has led the fans to jump on the Paddy Considine praise bandwagon, demanding the well-deserved accolades for him in the awards season to come later.

Titled The Lord of the Tides, the episode had the viewers sympathize with King Viserys’ cause, which all came down to, “The crown cannot stand strong if the House of the Dragon remains undivided.” However, if didn’t stay undivided, we wouldn’t be getting our weekly dose of HOTD drama either. While the other characters may have failed to acknowledge his efforts, the fans surely didn’t.

While the inevitable and unfortunate has befallen his character, the spectators are finally reeling in their love for the actor, even though most of them had overtly expressed their hate for the character when they first met him. Considine’s King Viserys also finally meets his grandchildren this time around and that has also sparked a discussion of the new generation of characters taking over the HOTD landscape.
