Ayushmann Khurrana is back with his first release of 2022 – Doctor G. The medical comedy also stars Shefali Shah, Sheeba Chaddha and Rakul Preet Singh. It is directed by Anubhuti Kashyap and produced by Junglee Pictures.
In the trailer, Ayushmann plays a medical student named Uday Gupta, who gets a seat in the Gynecology studies. However, he struggles to keep up with people’s unacceptance of a male doctor treating women patients. His character tries his best to switch from Gyno to Ortho, but no one agrees.
Shefali Shah plays his medical teacher as well as a gynac in the film. When Uday tells her how people don’t prefer a male gynac, she tells him what’s male or female, a doctor is a doctor. She advises him to lose his male touch.
In the trailer, Uday Gupta tries to understand what the male touch is and how to lose it. Rakul Preet Singh also plays a doctor and Uday’s romantic interest. She is mostly seen in dance numbers in the trailer. Actor Sheeba Chaddha plays Ayushmann’s mother and seems quite quirky.

The movie is slated to release in cinemas on October 14, 2022.
