Plan A Plan B Trailer: Riteish Deshmukh and Tamannaah Bhatia Sets an Example of ‘Opposites Attract’

Plan A Plan B Trailer has been released by Netflix, after unveiling the title at Netflix Films day, last month. Directed by Shashanka Ghosh and the screenplay written by Rajat Aroraa, it is a one-of-a-kind story with unusual characters pitted against each other and a refreshing take on what love entails, tapping into many different emotions

The official synopsis of the film reads, “When an earnest matchmaker moves into an office next to a cynical divorce attorney, their bitter conflict is complicated by a growing attraction.” The film is about a matchmaker who believes marriage is for everyone, except herself. And a successful divorce lawyer with a secret.

What happens when they cross paths? Can opposites coexist, let alone attract? The quirky coming-of-age romance stars Riteish Deshmukh and Tamannaah Bhatia in the lead roles, and also includes Poonam Dhillon and Kusha Kapila in supporting roles.

As seen in the trailer, Deshmukh plays Kaustubh Chougule, a cynical and successful divorce lawyer, while Bhatia plays Nirali Vora, an earnest matchmaker, with their offices in the same location. Kaustaubh introduces himself as Plan A, you (Nirali) get people married. Plan B, I handle their divorce case. But he steps on the wrong foot with the optimistic couple maker.

One thinks that marriage is a punishment while the other believes that love, marriages and relationships last for a lifetime. They might have completely opposite ideologies, but they do have something in common – both of them are single.

While they are butting heads most of the time, Nirali gives this advice to a couple “What if the sun never set? The moon and stars would go to waste. It’s nice if two things are opposite.” It also fits best for our main leads as we see them mellowing down to each other as time passes.
