Partner Track is a new legal drama series on Netflix that was released on August 26. Based on Helen Wan’s novel, the show stars Arden Cho as Ingrid Yun, Bradley Gibson as Tyler Robinson, Alexandra Turshen as Rachel Friedman, Dominic Sherwood as Jeff Murphy, Rob Heaps as Nick Laren, Nolan Gerard Funk as Dan Fallon, Matthew Rauch as Marty Adler, Roby Attal as Justin Coleman, Desmond Chiam as Zi-Xin ‘Z’ Min, and Fredric Lehne as Ted Lassiter.
In the show, Ingrid Yun is a hard-working Asian attorney at a big law firm in NYC. Her goal is to become the partner to Parsons, Valentine & Hunt. However, all her dreams are shattered when Ted Lassiter and Marty Adler betray her and make Jeff Murphy the partner. Marty and Ted make Ingrid do all the hard work for their big clients and don’t treat her well. A disheartened and angry Ingrid quits the job. She also apologises to Rachel and Tyler.
Partner Track Ending Explained
In the last episode of Partner Track, Ingrid tells her parents that she has quit the job. Her dad tells her to apologise to her boss and get the job back. Her father’s advice upsets Ingrid. But she knows she has to fight back because Parsons, Valentine & Hunt not only mistreated her but didn’t take any action against Dan for his racist jokes.
Ingrid meets Zi-Xin ‘Z’ Min and convinces him to bring down Ted Lassiter via Min Enterprises’ deal with Sun Corp. She wants Min Enterprises and NewLeaf to have more stakes so that Ted isn’t the one with the majority of the stakes. Otherwise, Ted and Marty will continue being unfair to people like her.
Z agrees, but they still lack 2% to have more stakes. Thankfully, Rachel brings in Wanda Jean Weaver, who buys 2% of Sun Corp’s share. It truly helps Ingrid’s mission of ousting Ted Lassiter as Min Enterprises now has a 50.1% share. Thus, Franklin Min, Z’s father, is the new president. But Min immediately makes his son Z the new president.

Later, Marty Adler threatens Ingrid Yun that he will make sure no one hires her as an attorney. He tells Ingrid that he is aware that she went to jail and had to be bailed out. Ingrid is shocked that Marty is aware of her jail stint. This might be the reason Marty didn’t make her the partner.
However, that isn’t the only shocking twist in the end. Marty Adler reveals that Jeff Murphy told him about Ingrid’s stint in jail. Ingrid is in a state of shock and feels betrayed. Jeff told this secret to Marty to become the partner at the Parsons Valentine.
The betrayal will change Ingrid Yun’s life forever because Jeff Murphy is her new boyfriend. Worse, she cheated on a sweet and honest person like Nick Laren to be with Jeff.
Will there be Partner Track Season 2?
Partner Track Season 1 on Netflix ended on a cliffhanger. Ingrid just found out that Jeff betrayed her. However, he isn’t aware that she knows it yet. She is also hired as a partner for the firm. So things will take interesting turns in season 2. There’s a lot the makers have to explore not only about Ingrid, but in Rachel and Tyler’s life.
We also want to find out why Jeff backstabbed the person he claims to like. Will this be the end of their relationship? We really liked Nick and Ingrid’s relationship. Are they the endgame? We will get out answers only if there’s another season.
