Me Time Plot/Synopsis

The official synopsis of the film reads, “With his family away, a devoted stay-at-home dad enjoys his first me time in years by joining his hard-partying old friend on a wild birthday adventure.” When a stay-at-home dad, Sonny finds himself with some alone time for the first time in years while his wife and kids are away, he reconnects with his former best friend for a wild weekend that nearly upends his life.

In the trailer, we see that Kevin Hart has no life other than taking care of his kids and the house, as pointed out by another character in the film. Until he receives a call from his best friend Huck, with whom he lost out of touch or grew out of the friendship. He invites him to his birthday party but Sonny doesn’t want to go.

But his free time doesn’t go as well as he thought it would and urges him to go to the birthday party. That’s when all hell breaks loose as he is trapped in the middle of a desert and soon Sonny is duking it out with a hostile mother mountain lion and hitting the Grand Canyon or we should rather say, hitting flocks of birds above the Grand Canyon, in a wingsuit. From peeing in a bucket to almost losing a finger, Sonny will have a really wild story to tell if only, he survives.
