The Predator franchise by Jim Thomas and John Thomas has been a popular one amongst fans. Almost like a rival to the Alien franchise, the Predator film series has flaunted some excellent movies to ban over the years. Prey is the latest title releasing under the franchise and it really looks intriguing and different from what we are used to seeing in this science fiction movie series.
Directed by Dan Trachtenberg and written by Patrick Aison, Prey is produced by John Davis, Marty P. Ewing, John Fox and Jhane Myers under the banner of 20th Century Studios and Davis Entertainment. It is being distributed by Hulu (United States) and Disney+ (International). Ahead of the film’s release, let us look at some key details about this upcoming title.
Prey Cast
Amber Midthunder, who is best known for her roles in Legion, Rosewell and New Mexico stars in the role of the protagonist Naru- a young Comanche warrior woman. She is joined by Dakota Beavers as Taabe and Dane DiLiegro as the Predator. The other cast members include Stormee Kipp, Michelle Thrush and Julian Black Antelope.

Prey Plot/Synopsis
The official description for the film reads: “Set in the Comanche Nation 300 years ago, ‘Prey’ is the story of a young woman, Naru, a fierce and highly skilled warrior. She has been raised in the shadow of some of the most legendary hunters who roam the Great Plains, so when danger threatens her camp, she sets out to protect her people. The prey she stalks, and ultimately confronts, turns out to be a highly evolved alien predator with a technically advanced arsenal, resulting in a vicious and terrifying showdown between the two adversaries.
Prey Release Date, Trailer and More
The science fiction action thriller is scheduled to arrive on its distribution platforms, Hulu and Disney+, on August 5, 2022. However, the film has already had its premiere at the San Diego Comic-Con 2022. Jeff Cutter serves as the cinematographer for this film and the music is by Sarah Schachner.
Ahead of the release of the film, the planning for additional instalments for the film has already been discussed. The work on sequels and more will soon start.
