July 7, 1989, marks the birthday of our beloved F4 member- the South Korean actor Kim Bum. Born Kim Sang Bum, he is an actor, a singer and a model who got his big break as So Yi-jung in the popular Kdrama Boy Over Flowers. The actor has continued giving some really good performances since then. Especially with his recent roles as Lee Rang in the drama Tale of the Nine-Tailed and Go Seung-tak in the drama Ghost Doctor that really did steal our hearts away.
While the actor continues to steal our hearts with his impeccable acting and that charming smile, we have thought of sharing some of his most memorable performances that we can never forget. So here’s a list of Kim Bum’s performances that make us lose our hearts to that beautiful smile!
4 Times Kim Bum Stole Our Hearts!
So Yi-jung in Boys Over Flowers
One of Kim Bum’s most iconic performances has to be the role of So Yi-jung in Boys Over Flowers. The mischievous heir to one of the biggest art museums in the country may have a playboy boy image, but we all know how lovely this guy is. The actor portrayed this character to its utmost, showing us his playfulness as well as his passion and vulnerability. We all love this F4 member and the Kdrama that brought us our So Yi-jung.

Go Seung-tak in Ghost Doctor
The actor took up a challenging role of a possessed doctor and might I say that he did a good job portraying his role in Ghost Doctor. Kim Bum succeeded in showing the “silver spoon” character of Go Seung-tak while bringing out his fears and showing that he is in fact possessed. It is not easy to change a character so fast but our birthday boy did a good job with this role. And of course, that charming smile did melt our hearts.
Ghost Doctor revolves around the talented but cold-hearted doctor Cha Young-min, and the extremely knowledgeable but scared doctor Go Seung-tak. A twist of fate brings these two together when Cha Young-min gets into an accident and his ghost possesses Go Seung-tak.

Lee Rang in Tale of the Nine-Tailed
The love and hate relationship that we’ve had with Kim Bum as he played the role of Lee Rang cannot be described in words. The mischievous brother of the protagonist was someone whom we all cried for when he sacrificed himself for his beloved brother’s happiness. The character was amazing and the one who played it was even better. This is one of those roles played by Kim Bum that we will remember for a long time.
Tale of the Nine-Tailed revolves around the life of a gumiho Lee Yeon who guards humans through centuries as he waits for the reincarnation of his first love. Lee Rang is his half-brother, but while being a half-human himself he has a deeply rooted hatred for humans.

Han Joon-hwi in Law School
Last but not least is the intelligent and charismatic character of Han Joon-hwi from Law School which became another Kdrama to make us go wow! His character has a more mature charm while portraying a law student who knows what he is doing. The smooth acting in this was impeccable and we all are hoping for another season of this series.
Law School revolves around a grim incident that brings four people with different personalities and backgrounds together as they solve the mystery involved in this case.
