Doctor Lawyer Overview

Doctor Lawyer (닥터 로이어) is a Korean law-drama TV series directed by Lee Yong-seok and stars So Ji-sub, Lim Soo-hyang and Shin Sung-rok, alongside other cast members. The series has 16 episodes and takes over MBC’s Friday-Saturday 10 PM KST timeslot previously occupied by Tomorrow

The series follows Han Yi-han, a brilliant cardiothoracic surgeon who is unfairly accused for the death of a patient which results in him losing his medical license. As he comes to terms with the incident which deeply affected him, since the patient was his girlfriend and lawyer Geum Seok-yeong’s younger brother, he jumps back into the scene as a lawyer after 5 years and works exclusively with medical litigations. As he tries to uncover the truth and punish those responsible for his patient’s death, he starts working with Seok-yeong. Will they be able to bring Seok-ju’s murderers to justice?

Doctor Lawyer Cast

The cast of the courtroom medical drama includes So Ji-sub, Lim Soo-hyang and Shin Sung-rok in lead roles along with Lee Kyoung-young, Lee Dong-ha, Choi Duk-moon and Nam Gi-ae among others.

Doctor Lawyer Plot

Disney+ describes the series as: “Han yi-han, a genius surgeon’s life takes a turn when he becomes a lawyer specialising in medical crimes after losing a patient to surgical malpractice.”

The series is available to watch on MBC as well as on Disney+ in select regions.

Doctor Lawyer will stream from June 03, 2022, to July 23, 2022, at 9.50 PM KST. Doctor Lawyer episode 3 will release on June 10 at 12.30 PM IST.

Shocked at seeing her former fiance in the courthouse performing not only surgery but also acting as a lawyer, Seok-yeong goes against Yi-han asking him what his ulterior motive is. Meanwhile, a new character is introduced.

Doctor Lawyer Episode 2 Recap

Yi-han comes to the painful realisation that his mentor and his trusted confidants from his workplace have gone against him. With no other options, he pleads guilty, gets his license revoked and eventually breaks up with Seok-yeong. After 5 years, Yi-han comes back to the court as a lawyer, representing Park Ki-tae and eventually saving his life in the courtroom after he stops breathing.
