We are just 3 weeks away from the release of Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. The film stars Benedict Cumberbatch, Elizabeth Olsen, Benedict Wong, Xochitl Gomez, Chiwetel Ejiofor and Rachel McAdams. Directed by Sam Raimi, the upcoming MCU film is set after the events of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
In the trailers and promos, we have seen how Stephen Strange faces the consequences of the spell he used to help Peter Parker. The spell was tampered with, leading to the opening of the multiverse. Even though Strange has helped Peter, the troubles for him have just begun. In Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, we will witness the shocking consequences and how Strange will solve them.
We are meeting different types of Stephen Strange in Doctor Strange 2. One of them is Defender Strange. Everyone is waiting to see what Benedict Cumberbatch brings to the table with his acting in different avatars. A few hours ago, Marvel dropped a new teaser, ‘Reckoning’, in which they made a big change.

In the Reckoning teaser, Stephen Strange is worried about his acting. Wanda is unstoppable and even crushes the head of an Ultron bot in one scene. She looks totally menacing. We also meet Defender Strange again in the promo. But there’s a big change. The power coming out of Defender Strange is not orange like Doctor Strange anymore. It is now white. It looks like the changes were made to distinguish between the different Strange we will see in the film.

Meanwhile, there are reports that Tom Hiddleston, Sophia Di Martino and Owen Wilson will also appear in the film. However, there is no such confirmation by the makers.
The booking for Multiverse of Madness has already started. The film is slated to release in theatres on May 6, 2022.
