UFO is a drama film directed by Onur Bilgetay and stars İpek Filiz Yazıcı, Mert Ramazan Demir, and Ferit Aktuğ, alongside other cast members. The movie has a runtime of 110 minutes.

When aspiring musician and student Deniz falls for a rough-hewn motorbike racer, tragedy and family opposition obstruct their path to love.
Within the first 15 minutes of Netflix’s new romantic drama UFO 2022, the movie has street racers zooming down roads doing dangerous stunts, a party, rich people shitting on the not-so affluent and police chasing after these kids up to no good. Then there are also lengthy moments within these 15 minutes featuring so much unnecessary dialogue that it gets a bit boring.
Weirdly, the entire movie is like that – adrenaline-filled moments, emotional moments that will resonate with you and then there are lengthy dialogue-heavy moments that are absolutely unnecessary. The story is simple enough – it’s a girl-meets-boy story with the familiar tropes and problems that they face plus their individual struggles.
I think the most interesting part of the movie, which takes sort of a backseat thanks to the romantic angle, is the relationship between the other characters, the food, the music and the city itself. All four are absolutely wonderful. The food, music and the depictions of the city, especially, are absolutely amazing. There’s nothing that showcases a place more than the music and the food of a particular place. The music will make you want to dance and the food will make you hungry.
Beyond that, Ese and Deniz’s relationship and how it came to be is missing that spark that you expect in movies such as these. That missing element makes this a subpar, mediocre watch that is both unsatisfying and sometimes plain boring. You want to fall in love with Ese and Deniz, but you can’t since you both know how this is going to end up and recognise its familiarity and repetitiveness.

Plus, when it comes to their personal lives, you neither care about Ese’s big race nor Deniz’s unfulfilled music aspirations. The problems depicted, especially in Deniz’s life, feel superficial and half-baked. You don’t feel anything for these spoilt rich kids and the knight in shining armour among them. Sure, Deniz is trying to fit in. But let’s not forget that she has a soft cushion right under her to protect her fall if and when it comes to it.
UFO 2022 is a movie that we have seen time and time again. A movie that comes out every year with the same themes of rich and poor people falling in love and then problems and magic happening. The genius is to introduce something more interesting in the familiarity. However, this doesn’t. There is a repeating theme of UFOs, after Ese’s bike, that doesn’t really go anywhere or do anything. It’s just there creating confusion.
Summing up: UFO
UFO 2022 is a romantic movie that leaves no taste behind in your mouth. It’s a lacklustre movie that doesn’t create any kind of impact, neither romantic nor cultural. Themes are introduced just for the sake of it and to push the movie forward and pad the runtime. At least the music, food and the city look great, but is that enough to watch a movie for?

Send, dying at the end was the worst. Too sadistic for me. The world is filled with so much negativity. People like me watch movies to escape. Though in real life,it doesn’t always turn out good,but for Christ’s sake give us a happy ending. Don’t kill the main character
That is one of the worst and the most escapist movie endings that creators come up with when they don’t want to give a happy ending but don’t know what else to do with it. It’s a trend these days – kill off the male protagonist so that the woman is left behind with renewed enthusiasm to live their lives but with their beloved lovers’ memories in their hearts. It’s honestly sad.
The ending can be a happy one. Dinez can make a wish at the end, and her wish could have saved the life of Ese, but he can’t be a stunt man anymore. Dinez’s enjoy singing career with Ese. Well, this end would really be more interesting, rather than Dinez living alone.
YEAH WHY NOT A HAPPY ENDING!?!! cheap movie a half hour to long (75% of talking in turkey), could they please make a bike movie with REAL AMERICAN INSTEAD, this movie was a BAIT, i tought it was about aliens/ufo stuff, but all that bike main person (ese) did was to FAINT OUT a few time here and there, nothing that showed he was an alien, all they doing this move is talking blablabla, angry parents or just fighting the other bike rival/team, the ending with the last race and the actuall UFO was the only time i STAYED AWAKE, everything else in the movie i just forgot in a flash like that *snaps fingers*, thumbs down and deleted from my list, A WEAK 1 STAR
