The Adam Project First Clip: Ryan Reynolds Meets Walker Scobell With a Time Travelling Twist

The Adam Project is Netflix’s latest science fiction release. The film is directed by Shawn Levy and written by Jonathan Tropper, T.S. Nowlin, Jennifer Flackett, and Mark Levin. The cast features Ryan Reynolds, Mark Ruffalo, Jennifer Garner, Walker Scobell, Catherine Keener, and Zoe Saldana in prominent roles. The film deals with a time-travelling plotline, where we see a pilot named Adam team up with his younger version and his late father to come to terms with the incidents from his past with plans of saving the future.

Netflix has dropped the first teaser of the upcoming film featuring Ryan Reynolds and Walker Scobell. In the clip, we see the older Adam Reed (Reynolds) meeting his younger version (Scobell) in the childhood home they grew up in. We see the duo share their respective memories of the place and, the uncanny connection they have which includes using the same words to yell at their dog. Amidst all the chaos, the younger Adam realizes that the person he is meeting is the older version of himself.

The clip is captioned: “POV: You’re 12 years old and just met your future self—and he’s Ryan Reynolds. Adam meets Adam in this exclusive clip from #TheAdamProject.”

This is the first film from Reynolds’ The Group Effort Initiative project, which is a self-financed diversity and inclusion program that focuses on giving people of colour a chance to work and learn on productions. It is a joint effort between Maximum Effort and B for Effort.
