Riverdale Season 5 Review (Ep 11-19)
The town of Riverdale is still not safe for anyone. With murderers and kidnappers lurking around, Archie, Betty, and Veronica have a lot to handle. Their personal lives are also a mess. If you wonder why I didn’t mention Jughead, well, half the time, no one knew where he was and what he was doing. Betty is still looking out for her sister Polly on the Lonely highway. Archie is dealing with nightmares from his time in the military. Veronica is doing business and flaunting her sexy outfits at us.
No one in this town is ever happy, and no one likes to go on dates anymore, watch movies, or just chill. Even if there’s a musical, it is organised to drawn attention towards the killer. But people are getting laid even amid all the drama, twists and threats. I wish I could explain the plot in a few sentences. But that can only happen if I watch the episodes 5 times more, and I don’t want to do that to myself again.

Oh wait, did I mention Cheryl has taken a spiritual path now? She can also be a witch, or maybe she’s Hawkeye as she carries bow and arrows with her. But everyone is busy doing something or the other, which only makes sense to the writers and the characters. People break up, patch up, casually throw the word FBI in between, break up and patch up again and sing lots of songs.
I’m not the only one who has these issues with the latest season. Some viewers on Twitter shared their views after the last episode. One person wrote, “I think the worst thing is that riverdale could have been such a great show, but they have the worst writers in the industry.” Another tweeted, “the writers thought: oh how can we just destroy #riverdale? Oh, i have one idea, first of all, we break all the fandom favorite ships, and then we put some horrible storylines and then, we put the worst and with no chemistry ships together! and we give no storyline to cheryl!”

Riverdale Season 5 Review: Final Thoughts
I really think the makers should just let the characters chill. I know Riverdale is tainted with blood, cursed, the residents have to pay for their “sins”, but it’s not making sense anymore.
Watch the show on Netflix.
