Netflix’s Racket Boys Episode 9 Recap: Practice Makes Perfect

Racket Boys is a sports k-drama directed by Cho Young-kwang. The series stars Kim Sang-kyung, Na-ra Oh, Tang Joon-sang, and Sang-Yeon Son, along with other cast members. Racket Boys episode 9 has a running time of 1 hour.

This episode shows lots of training, hard work, good matches, and a romantic ambience. Racket Boys episode 9 is a full package to look forward to.

The episode opens with visuals where Hae-kang and Yoon-dam from Racket Boys and Han-sol and Se-yoon are training for their match with Japan’s team under the National category. All of the badminton players are seen together training to be the best. Episode 9 is just the preliminary, here they are playing together but the next day, they will be playing against each other. I hope that episode becomes more fun than this one.

Episode 9 shows a lot of training rules, starting with Black Screen Training, then Singles Defense Training, Doubles Shot Drive Rotation Training, Sandbox Training, and Rubberband Step Training. In these training phases, it seems Hae-kang and Park Chan have an ego problem and on the other hand, Japan’s female team player Na-ra doesn’t like Se-yoon that much. In the very first few minutes, Racket Boys episode 9 grabbed my attention.

After all of the practice sessions, Hae-kang, Park Chan and a few other boys go to Karaoke to sing and jam but little do they know that they will get caught by Coach Fang. They are on the verge of getting disqualified, so what will happen? The players train themselves harder at night but will they be able to prove their worth? Will they be qualified? To know this you need to watch Racket Boys episode 9.

In this episode, we will also get to see glimpses of Hae-kang’s mother and father’s training time and will get to know their relationship. That sections are really cute. Don’t worry these are not much of a spoiler.

When d-day comes around, everyone seems to be well prepared for what’s to come. The episode has a great match sequence. What happens in the match, stays in the match for you to watch it. But, after that, all of the boys and girls plan to stay awake the night playing some games and chatting the whole night. But it seems they are in trouble as Coach Fang is on the patrol. Now, what will they do?

Racket Boys episode 9

Those who have been following Racket Boys should definitely watch this episode because the series is getting more intriguing day by day. This episode will also give us a Hae-kang and Se-yoon moment which I absolutely adored. There’s a lot of surprise elements in this episode but the village sequences still seem to be unnecessary. Even though it’s understandable that the series creators want a balanced episode but, for me, these are just a waste of time. Instead of that, the makers could easily trim it to a tighter episode.

Racket Boys episode 9 is currently streaming on Netflix.
