The Idol has raised a lot of eyebrows and made our skin crawl and, not in a good way. The latest HBO series is a riot to watch and, viewers can feel a pit in their stomachs making the viewership fall drastically (almost 12%) after the release of the last episode, which is just the second one in the series.
The Idol is created by the music world icon- The Weeknd, Reza Fahim, and Euphoria’s Sam Levinson. 5 Disturbing Scenes From The Idol That’ll Make Your Skin Crawl
Episode 1: Mental Health is a Vibe (Hint: The Hospital Bracelet)
You either love The Idol from its first 15 minutes or absolutely hate it. Whatever it is, one thing is for sure it starts giving off a disturbing, eerie vibe that really makes you rethink why you are watching this show in the first place. It starts in Pop Tarts and Rat Tales’ opening scene where Nikki is asked why Jocelyn is wearing her hospital bracelet during her album cover shoot to which Nikki replies by saying how it is important as mental health is the vibe now.

The scene has some legitimate grounding where there is a satire about how people are using mental health issues to gain fame but, at the same time, it invalidates the ones who are really struggling every day to live a better life.
Episode 1: Jocelyn Being Choked by Tedros Using a Red Fabric
As disgusting as the start of episode 1 of the series was, it did not lose out on being the scene towards the end. After their meet and greet and, liking Tedros’ ‘rape-y’ vibe, Jocelyn invites him over and things get really hot and steamy when they get to Joss’ studio where she makes him listen to I’m a Freak.
What follows next is something only BDSM-educated people would be able to stand as Tedros chokes Jocelyn with a red fabric that makes her breathing difficult and facial features protruding from underneath. He then whips out a knife, asks Jocelyn to open her mouth and creates an opening near the mouth by cutting the fabric telling her she can sing now.
Episode 2: I’m a Freak Remix ft. Jocelyn x Tedros
The aftermath of how episode one ends comes at the very beginning of episode two. We have Jocelyn play a remix version of I’m a Freak during the opening segment of Double Fantasy. Joss plays the remix version for her team which features high-pitched moans and deep breathing or, to lay it out more clearly, sex audio in the backdrop of the real song. To add more weirdness to the scene she dances suggestively as the song plays.
Episode 2: Shooting of I’m a Freak Music Video
The shooting of the music video in a strip club was itself a very repulsive idea to be with but, what unfolded during this entire segment is truly disturbing and heartbreaking. We see Joss push her limits which causes her feet to bleed, her self-concept goes down and, at a point, we see her even calling for her dead mother. It was a horrifying scene that was in a very unnecessary way.
Episode 2: Tedros’ Dirty Talk
Everyone’s mad about it because Sam Levinson has done something that will never let us look at The Weeknd in the same way ever again! It is a crime and, we are all mad and, not really ready to see this pop icon go down.
In episode two, we see Joss invite Tedros once again to her house and, this time he comes with his friends. Of course, things turn steamy between Tedros and Joss and, we see Tedors make some dirty talk that would churn the food into your stomach. Additionally, Chloe looks at Joss and Tedros as things proceed to take a sexual turn, much like a voyeurist.
