20th Century Girl: BTS Pics of Our Favourite Scenes that Made Us Emotional

Netflix’s teen romance movie 20th Century Girl (20세기소녀) is here and we have witnessed a beautiful first love whose magic never fades with time. Directed by Bang Woo-ri, the film stars Kim Yoo-jung, Byeon Woo-seok, Roh Yoon-seo, Park Jung-woo, alongside other cast members.

Earlier today, The Swoon shared some behind-the-scenes pictures of the film and we were once again taken back to the feeling of nostalgia this movie left us with. But before we go to them, let us tell you a list bit about 20th Century Girl.

20th Century Girl follows the story of a beautiful friendship that makes the path for a heartbreaking love story as four teens relearn the meaning of friendship and love. And this is a lesson that they carry on to the 21st century, but not all of them are able to do so.

The pictures shared showed scenes from the close-up of Kim Yoo-jung as Bo-ra to the scene of her goodbye to Woon-ho which broke our hearts. But among that came scenes of the strong friendship that the cast formed through the film as onscreen friendship moves off screen that brought the youthful feeling beyond the screen.

The pictures also showed the scenes with the cameos that really sparkled in their shifting scenes. From Ong Seong-wu playing Woon-ho’s brother Joseph who discloses the truth to Bo-ra to Han Hyo-joo playing the adult Bo-ra, all the cameos have touched our hearts as they moved on from the 20th to the 21st century.

And not to forget Park Hae-joon who should up as the school nurse while Bo-ra tried to find Hyun-jin’s club and Lee Bum-soo who plays the dean of students to perfection. Every single one of the cameos left an everlasting impression on Bo-ra’s youthful days. However, we have to agree that Han Hyo-joo’s cameo was among the best as she showed the emotions of Bo-ra to perfection.

Altogether, these behind the scene pictures really took us back to the feeling this film had given us and looking at Byeon Woo-seok standing there as Woon-ho is only intensifying the pain in our hearts.

And this is quite clear as one of the comments read, “I don’t want a bts, I want Woon Ho back.” while another reads, “I still haven’t recovered from this movie lol it was great but I was not prepared for that ending ????????”

“I’ve been waiting for this movie for months coz I really want KYJ and BWS to be paired up. But bro, didn’t expect the sad ending, to think they have very minimal happy moments together. Then the writer killed the main lead without giving the reason why. Double kill…. At least give us some closure here.” reads another while conveying our wishes for answers that were left unanswered.

Let’s hope we hear more from the creators of the film after they see our tears flooding their comments.
