Yakuza Fiancé Episode 2 Recap

Kirishima becomes so obsessed with Yoshino that he starts tracking her via GPS. While he justifies this by saying it’s for her protection, his invasive attention only makes her more uncomfortable. However, their lives aren’t ordinary, as both come from yakuza families, meaning they’re inevitably surrounded by danger, even if they aren’t directly involved.

When Shiori, the daughter of a rival yakuza family, is kidnapped, Yoshino is told to stay close to Kirishima for her own safety. If anything happens to her, it could spark a major gang war. There’s also hope that finding Shiori will ease tensions between the yakuza groups, if only temporarily. But things take a turn when Yoshino accidentally witnesses something she was never meant to see.

This episode highlights why Yoshino and Kirishima seem like the perfect match, despite their flaws. Yoshino is rational and assertive, with a level-headedness that contrasts with her yakuza background. Kirishima, on the other hand, is disturbingly drawn to Yoshino’s strength, and if anyone can manage his chaotic nature, it might just be her.

Yakuza Fiancé Episode 3 Review A LoveHate Triangle

This episode opened with a shocking scene that might challenge your notions about this show’s very perverted and scummy hero. Right off the bat, it gets established that Kirishima is an absolutely depraved man who has no qualms about sleeping with multiple women, even after confessing he is in love with Yoshino. Not only that, he, very nonchalantly, kept talking about his love for Yoshino while his face was buried deep between another girl’s legs. Thankfully, that girl was sensible enough to point out that maybe Yoshino hates him if she is constantly angry when meeting him.

This makes Kirishima approach Yoshino at some ungodly hour to get some answers. Does Yoshino really hate him? The interaction that follows is very interesting and sheds light on the relationship dynamic that these two have. It also showcases just how obsessive and childlike Kirishima is when it comes to basic human feelings. He has no idea about genuine relationships and, thus, only goes for carnal desires. Will Yoshino be able to transform him into a proper human, or will he be left a Yandere nuisance till the end is something we will find out later.

However, the episode was not just about this. We see the emergence of an entertaining possible love triangle between Yoshino, Kirishima and Shouma, Yoshino’s friend from her home. Apparently, Shouma has been with the Soumei family from a very young age, after Yoshino’s grandfather decided to take him under his wing. It can be seen that even though he might not show it, he is very protective of Yoshino, and considering she is associated with an insane man like Kirishima, he can go to great lengths to protect her.

But, will Kirishima, who is so open about relationships, be able to have the same approach when it comes to Yoshino? It will be interesting to see what goes down between these two guys who are closely associated with our heroine.

Verdict

I loved today’s episode, and it is interesting to see a madman like Kirishima being the hero of a romance anime. I am sure if he does not change his ways, Yoshino will definitely leave him. Hence, whether he changes himself, or these two would just part ways after a year is something that I am eager to witness.
