XG is a Japanese girl group based in South Korea, consisting of seven members, namely Jurin, Chisa, Hinata, Juria, Cocona, Maya, and Harvey. The group debuted on March 18, 2022, under the label XGALX with the single album Tippy Toes. The band has since then released various albums, singles, and covers that have garnered them popularity worldwide. IN THE RAIN is their ninth digital single and is a song that is already bringing up their popularity with its release.

Bringing a song where they shed their melancholy with the rain and find themselves again, this girl group really knows how to win hearts with a shake of their umbrellas whle dressed in suits that look absolutely beautiful on them. They are carrying this gentlemanly vibe that is so easily mesmerizing for the audience that you cannot look away. The outfits are really one of the most impressive points of this music video and I am in love with them!
Then there is the choreography of this song, and I have to say, it is absolutely brilliant! It matches the vibe of the song, goes beautifully with the mood of the music video and is done so well by the girls that you can see them shining in the K-pop scene very soon. They know how to do it right and together, and I am in love with their moves.
If the choreography doesn’t impress you enough, then there is the camera work, which moves so swiftly and smoothly, catching the right moments of the song for the audience. The transitions are so good and the angles in which the moves are captured are all the best points of the group. No one is missed, and you can see the best points of the members while their unique charm literally shines throughout the song.
Finally, I have to say that this song is definitely one of my favourites this year. The music video is so charming, and even without much happening, there is a charm that is hard to resist in this video. Their vocals are all on point, and the lyrics are so beautifully written that you cannot help listening to the song on repeat. Altogether, with a song like this, this group makes me curious about their work and very easily catches my attention.
