Netflix just dropped the Wingwomen teaser, its upcoming French crime movie [Voleuses] and it seems that it is gonna be one hell of a ride. Melanie Laurent is back in her action avatar and I just cannot have enough of that. Guns, bullets, bikes; the movie promises to be a full-fledged action-packed adventure. The stakes will be high too because after all, she and her team must be robbing something from a ganglord or some kingpin, right? Robbing a bank doesn’t offer any thrills.
What I am most excited about is that Melanie has directed the movie as well as is one of its writers alongside Christophe Deslandes and Cédric Anger. So it will be interesting to see how well she pulls off three jobs at the same time i.e. writing, directing, and acting. The Wingwomen teaser doesn’t offer much detail, and it’s only natural. We can just bathe in the bright light of Melanie’s smile until the trailer drops.
Wingwomen Cast
We have Melanie Laurent (we don’t know her character’s name yet) and her best friend Alex, played by Adèle Exarchopoulos. They will be joined by Sam aka Manon Bresch, who will be the third member of their team. The rest of the cast includes Isabelle Adjani, Philippe Katerine, and Félix Moati.

Wingwomen Teaser Breakdown
Melanie and Adèle (Alex) will recruit Sam (Manon) for their last mission. It going to be a biggie because they will be annoying a lot of bad guys. It seems that the former two have spent a long time as thieves, working under their Godmother (Isabelle Adjani), and now yearn for a free life. They chalk out a plan, but since they can’t execute it on their own, they need Sam, who is an expert biker. So speed and adrenaline will also be playing important roles in the movie, so to say. Friendship will also be a facet. We do not see the Godmother or the protagonist in the teaser, but we will in the trailer.
Wingwomen releases on Netflix on November 1, 2023.
