Charles Kidd II aka Calmatic is the director of this upcoming Hulu film with a screenplay from Kenya Barris, Doug Hall that is based on a story of the same name by Ron Shelton, Kenya Barris and Doug Hall which is the 1992 movie. So, if you are a fan of the original, this remake is surely something that should be on your watchlist this season. Kenya Barris and Paul Hall serve as the producers for this film under the production companies- 20th Century Studios and Khalabo Ink Society.
White Men Can’t Jump Cast
The cast of this upcoming release features Sinqua Walls as Kamal Allen, Jack Harlow as Jeremy, Teyana Taylor as Imani, Laura Harrier as Tatiana, Vince Staples as Speedy, Myles Bullock as Renzo and Lance Reddick as Benji Allen. Additionally, Tamera Kissen, Zak Steiner and Andrew Schulz are also a part of the film’s cast. It serves as Harlow and Walls’ acting debut as they are going to lead the film.

White Men Can’t Jump Plot/Synopsis
The official trailer description for the film reads: “A comedy about basketball hustlers who work on the premise that white men can’t play as well as black men.” The trailer introduces us to Kamal Allen, who is a basketball player. When he comes across Jeremy in his court, he assumes the white guy can’t hoop, only for him to be wrong and outdated. Following a series of events, Allen and Jeremy join hands for a basketball tournament that could be life-changing for both of them.
White Men Can’t Jump Release Date and More
White Men Can’t Jump is scheduled to release on May 19, 2023, on its distributing platform- Hulu. The film’s cinematography is by Tommy Maddox-Upshaw with music from Marcelo Zarvos. There will be a track featuring the iconic DJ Drama in the movie.
