A nostalgic show which resembles a tribute to the youth of our parents; where you will see a mother’s first love, a father’s heroic tales, grandma’s rebellious youth, and grandpa’s romantic era. You will see a love that is boundless and unconditional through the many ages our leads pass through.

O Ae-sun is a rebellious girl who gets nervous every time she rebels, is a book lover who dreams of becoming a poet but cannot attend school. However, despite everything else, she shines with positivity and never gives up on her dream of becoming a poet. With her bold character who doesn’t hide any emotions and expresses her feelings without hiding anything.

Yang Gwan-sik is a diligent and quiet character but romance is not his strength. He doesn’t know how to act if Ae-sun cries or laughs but he does know one thing- loving Ae-sun and only her. He is a silent warrior and pours out his all into loving and respecting Ae-sun from the very beginning.

Born in Jeju, South Korea in the 1950s, these two grew up together; while one dreams the other supports her through thick and thin. But will they ever get what they wish to have? This is a story of two individuals who will bring to us a story often heard through the stories of our parents and grandparents. A time forgotten but special on its own.

When Life Gives You Tangerines Cast

Directed by Kim Won-suk, the drama stars IU, Park Bo-gum, Moon So-ri, Park Hae-joon, Kim Tae-yeon, Lee Chun-moo, and other cast members. IU returns to the screen after 5 years with another spectacular role after her wonderful performance in the show Hotel Del Luna. Alongside her stars, Park Bo-gum who also returns after 4 years after his role in Record of Youth, exciting fans further.

When Life Gives You Tangerines Release Date and Time

When Life Gives You Tangerines is set to release on March 7, 2025, and will continue to stream until March 28th, 2025. The show consists of 16 episodes that will be released every Friday. With four episodes released each week, the show will be available for streaming on Netflix.
