Whale Store XOXO Episode 10 Recap
The episode opens with Maewnam telling Wan about how she has grown up with her head in her books and without any other thought. She also opens up about why she insists on helping everyone all the time. It’s a very vulnerable moment for her as the viewers and Wan see her in a different light. The two spend some sweet moments together, and Maewnam opens up about Mahnmook clearing the air surrounding her relationship with Wan. Meanwhile, Chom and Tonnam have a meal with Som, and it’s a hilarious situation as they all try to get over their awkwardness.
The next day, Wan and Maewnam meet the latter’s mother, and she musters up the courage to tell her mother why she doesn’t want to continue with her PhD. It’s an emotional conversation wherein she lays everything bare, and her mother, too, opens up about everything. It ends up healing both of their differences and repairing the relationship.
Later on, Maewnam thanks Wan for helping her out, but she has news of her own – an old client reached out and offered her a new job in Japan. She shares her thoughts on why she wants to go back to an office job instead of owning her business, and her points make a lot of sense. Unfortunately, they now have to think about their relationship as well, since it will be long-distance. Thankfully, Maewnam is hopeful that things will work out, but when she’s alone, she laments about Wan going away so far from her.
Soon enough, Maewnam gets the Japanese job, and it’s a bittersweet moment for them both. Maewnam decides to pause everything and devote her time to Wan, while Som tries her hardest to make a good impression with Chom and Tonnam. Although she stumbles a bit, her heart seems to be in the right place, which the girls realise. Elsewhere, Wan and Maewnam have a sweet date together.
Eventually, the day comes for Wan’s farewell party, but she gives the notion of leaving the store some deeper thought, and eventually announces that she’s not leaving. She tells them that leaving the store would be too hard for her, and she’s happy running the store, despite the problems. It leaves them all extremely happy, ending the night in a happy embrace.
In the end, both Wan and Maewnam receive rings from each other, and they end up proposing to one another. With everything turning out right, everyone seems happy with where their lives have taken them, culminating in the two getting married.
Whale Store XOXO Episode 10 Review
Whale Store XOXO ends on a sweet and loving note, with everyone getting a happy ending. It’s a little clichéd and obvious, but the series is perfect for a light-hearted, easy binge. If you’re looking for a drama with minimal conflict and sweet moments with good performances, this one might be right up your alley. It doesn’t have anything that sets it apart from the rest, but it is enjoyable regardless.
