Web of Make Believe: Is the Netflix True Crime Series Returning with a Second Season?

If you are hungry for Netflix’s Web of Make Believe Season 2, we don’t blame you. Netflix’s latest true crime miniseries was truly horrifying and cautionary in its own way. Revealing some grinding toxic true crime stories to the audiences, the show has everyone gasping with the reality we all live in.

Web of Make Believe: Death Lies and the Internet is an anthology series that comes from director Brian Knappenberger (The Trials of Gabriel Fernandez, The Internet’s Own Boy), Luminant Media and Imagine. Over the course of six episodes, the show documents five unique stories that blur the lines between the internet and reality, each with a runtime of 50-60 minutes.

So given all the hype, the show is receiving, will there be a season two? Well, this is just the place that will answer your questions!

Web of Make Believe Season 2: When Will It Release?

Netflix’s Web of Make Believe is termed as a limited series, so the possibility of a season two does not arise. However, looking at the popularity of the show and given it is an anthology series, more true crime stories from the internet could definitely make a cut to the OTT platform greenlighting the show for a second season.

In the first season, we saw stories from SWATing to Sextortion and as chilling as each one was, they truly left an impact on the viewers. Very similar to Catching Killers, this series has the potential to expand into other seasons. However, we have to wait for an official word from the makers to give out the final verdict.
