Wave Makers Teaser: Hsieh Ying-hsuan Gets Ready For a Big Election Battle

Wave Makers Teaser shows the unique election culture of Taiwan and the work that goes behind it all. It is an upcoming political drama series directed by Lin Chun Yang and the screenplay is written by Jian Li Ying and Yan Shi Ji. It is a collaborative project between DaMou Entertainment and PTV.

The cast of the series includes Hsieh Ying-hsuan, Gingle Wang and Jag Huang in the lead roles along with Ada Pan, Devin Pan, Hu Wei Jie, Zhan Huai Yun, Liao Yi Ling, Joseph Hsia and Vince Kao in the supporting roles.

In the story, Weng Wen-fang came from a political family. She joined the Justice Party as the deputy director and spokesperson of the Publicity Department, after failing to be re-elected as a member of the Council. She led the publicity team in realizing their goals, but not without facing many challenges to their faith and values.

The Wave Makers will focus on the daily lives of a group of communications staff behind an election campaign. It will follow Wen-fang after she lost her re-election, her father arranged to be the deputy director of the Publicity Department of the Justice Party and the spokesperson of the party department. In exchange for actual combat experience, she found that the work of the staff is more complicated than she imagined.

It is a fast-paced, high-tension workplace group drama, which takes place not far from the presidential election. Under the pressure of a hot election campaign and to seize the first opportunity, it has become a daily routine for the Cultural and Publicity Department to make memes, shoot videos, and hold events to create buzz.

However, just when things seem to be going on in the favour, unthinkable things might happen. It will show a series of absurd political offences and defences unfolding, and this group of young staff members is constantly faced with the choice of values ​​and the challenge of belief in the overwhelming tediousness.

In the teaser, we see how each party tries to win the votes by any measure and media play becomes a very important part. However, when they finally catch the wind and the critical moment comes, can they take advantage of the momentum and stand on the wave to ensure victory?
