Planning to Watch Captain Fall? Here’s All You Need to Know About the Upcoming Adult Animated Drama

Netflix has always been big on adult animated dramas. Starting from BoJack Horseman to Big Mouth, there is something especially good about watching a bunch of cartoons take a satirical turn on real-life events. Netflix’s next-in-line release titled Captain Fall seems to be along the same lines which makes us excited now more than ever.

This upcoming series is created by Jon Iver Helgaker, Jonas Torgersen and Joel Trussell. Along with Netflix, Boulder Media has also produced this show. Ahead of the series releases on the streaming platform, let us quickly dive into some key details surrounding it.

Captain Fall Cast

The set of voice actors involved in this show includes Jason Ritter from Raising Dion, Christopher Meloni from Law & Order: SVU, Lesley-Ann Brandt from Lucifer and Barry’s Anthony Carrigan. We will also see Narcos: Mexico’s Alejandro Edda, The Righteous Gemstones’ Adam Devine and Trond Fausa from Oppenheimer, who also featured in the creators’ other work titled Norsemen. Christopher McDonald, Flula Borg, Bebe Neuwirth, Cedric Yarbrough, André Eriksen, Stelio Savante, Walles Hamonde, Paris Benjamin, Brandon Winckler, Rose Abdoo and David Bianchi are also going to be a part of the cast.

Captain Fall Plot/Synopsis

Netflix’s official trailer description for the show reads: “A wet-behind-the-ears, yet good-hearted sea captain unwittingly finds himself at the helm of a smuggling ship for a terrible international cartel who’s using him as a fall guy in case the authorities ever catch up to them.” The trailer opens with dramatic intense music and video-game-like visuals as we find ourselves on a journey with Johnathan Fall, who is soon to become a ship captain.

Although Johnathan isn’t an academic wonder at school, he makes it out to become a captain. But, his life is tested and turned dramatically when navigating a ship becomes more than about the winds in the sails.

Captain Fall Release Date and More

The series is scheduled to arrive on Netflix on July 28, 2023. Helgaker and Torgersen’s first animated series will contain ten episodes in total. You can check out the trailer for the show down below!
