Shah Rukh Khan is that one actor whose films we can never let go of. But as of recent, the Happy New Year star has not been visibly starring in films. But, the air seems to be changing as King Khan is all set to return to our screens after this four-year break. He marks his return to the big screen by collaborating on projects under massive names in the B-Town.
His upcoming project is Pathan which will feature him as a RAW agent. His follow up projects are with other significant names in the industry like Rajkumar Hirani. Earlier this year, SRK even joked around on his Twitter about doing a project with Hirani.
Updates On Shah Rukh Khan’s Next Films
Pathan is being helmed by Siddharth Anand where SRK is going to play a RAW agent alongside Deepika Padukone in the film. The pivotal supporting cast members include John Abraham and Dimple Kapadia. We might also see Tiger 3 star Salman Khan make a cameo in this film.
As for the Rajkumar Hirani project, the work for the film has already started in Punjab. However, Kanika Dhillon is no longer the principal writer and instead writer Abhijat Joshi has taken the lead.

“Kanika Dhillon and Rajkumar Hirani were trying to crack the script for a while, however, things didn’t work out and eventually, Hirani’s frequent collaborator, Abhijat Joshi took the responsibility of writing. He has masterfully crafted the screenplay of the immigration story over the last one year and things are officially locked now,” reports Pinkvilla.
It is difficult to say if Dhillon is going to get the additional credit for the screenplay but as of now, the final draft for the screenplay has been liked all by unanimously. The team is all prepared to start their shooting during the Summer of 2022.
The film is going to be a social comedy where we witness Shah Rukh Khan’s character travel from Punjab to Canada using illegal routes. We can already sense how hilarious the premise is going to be and the commentary on the social circumstance is much waited for. We are going to see Taapsee Pannu lead the film beside SRK and it is expected that another actress might join the cast.
We have seen Hirani and Joshi work together for successful projects like the ‘Munnabhai’ franchise, ‘3 Idiots’ and ‘Sanju’. This Shah Rukh Khan film will be their fifth project together and we are all looking forward to it.
Both Shah Rukh Khan’s next projects Atlee and the untitled Hirani film are being produced by Red Chillies Entertainment.
