How many times have you disregarded a cleaner or a house help as the Unseen ‘invisible woman”? Netflix’s upcoming suspenseful South African series will compel you to rethink on the matter. On February 21, 2023, the streaming platform has reeled out the first teaser of its crime thriller TV show slated for release in March.

Although many details of the the show haven’t been put out yet, Netflix has introduced its main star cast panel including Gail Mabalane, Brendon Daniels, and Hein De Vries alongside others. The gritty series has been created by Travis Taute and Daryne Joshua, and its teaser has already set the foreboding tone in place.

The teaser’s visuals begin with an interrogation that introduces a series of violent killings happening in the background and has in turn left behind a trail of bodies all over the city. Gail’s character, “a cleaner”, is questioned by the detectives, who’re investigating these ceaseless mysterious murders. Believing her to be at the centre of these crime scenes, they corner her and further ask about her involvement in these deadly plannings.

Tense reactions and fast-paced sequence flips follow, leading with a background score that fills one up with trepidation and uncertainty. Although the video concludes with her claiming that she’s merely a cleaner, a person who’s doesn’t ostensibly have ties with such criminal deeds, we still can’t trust anyone. As far as old records of such storylines go, every character has something crucial to hide, and when those secrets are put together, they make up the whole picture that seemed to have been missing at the onset of the trajectory, much like what was shown in teaser as well.
