Undercover High School Kdrama: Seo Kang-joon Takes Lead in MBC’s Upcoming Comedy Action Series

MBC’s upcoming series Undercover High School kdrama (working title), has sparked excitement among fans as it confirms Seo Kang-joon, renowned for his roles in hit series like Cheese in the Trap, What Happens to My Family? and others as its lead. Kang-joon’s return to television after a hiatus since 2022 has heightened anticipation for the series.

Scheduled to air in 2025,언더커버하이스쿨 promises a unique blend of comedy and action. The storyline revolves around a man who assumes the guise of a high school student while concealing his true identity as an agent of the National Intelligence Service (NIS). Throughout his undercover mission, he forges unexpected bonds with his fellow classmates, adding layers of intrigue to the narrative.

Penned by Im Young-bin, known for his work on Bad Prosecutor, the series marks Kang-joon’s comeback project following his discharge from military service in May of the previous year. His character, Jung Hae-sung, a seasoned field agent, faces a demotion after a mission gone awry. Subsequently, he finds himself embroiled in a new operation, infiltrating a high school linked to Emperor Gojong’s elusive gold bullion. As Jung Hae-sung delves deeper into his role as a student, he discovers a newfound appreciation for the high school experience, blurring the lines between duty and personal fulfilment.
