Typhoon Family Episode 13 Recap

This episode begins from the point Tae-poong barges into the factory to save Mi-seon from fire. He tries his best to remove all the obstacles in his way to rescue his beloved as fast as possible. In the end, he manages to save her even though he got hurt himself in the process. This is also the part where Mi-seon finally accepts her true feelings for Tae-poong, mainly because she comes close to death.

After that, Mi-seon gets hospitalised, and while waiting for the doctor, she lets Tae-poong know about a very important thing. She calls him over, and despite being in pain, she confesses her love for him. This was pretty hilarious because Tae-poong wanted to wait for a proper and romantic moment. Still, Mi-seon just lets him learn about her feelings because she finally realised hiding something like this will not work anymore.

Seon-taek goes to Hyeon-jun and confronts him about this because she realised that he’s the one who set the fire. Rather than feeling despair that he accidentally almost killed a human, Hyeon-jun even asks whether Mi-seon has completely died or not. On the other hand, the situation of the Typhoon Company is very dire because all the gloves they gathered have become unusable due to all the smoke that essentially damaged everything. Now they will have to look for other suppliers, which will be difficult because there is already a shortage of them in South Korea.

The Typhoon Company decided that they could go to their contractors and ask for an extension, citing the damage that they have faced. Sadly, that is not possible, and they get told that they will have to supply the gloves within the mentioned date as soon as possible. This is a very tough time for Tae-poong, and he also gets to know something that completely shatters him. He finds out that Seon-taek had been the one who betrayed him, and when he confronts her, she takes zero accountability for her actions.

But things are not just bad in this episode, as the relationships between the characters also get better. Eul-nyeo realises that what she had done was bad, as Mi-ho is a genuinely good girl. In a very heartfelt moment, both of these ladies come together after getting drunk and get over their hangover by having Ramen made by Nam-mo.

The climax of this episode was especially important and attention-grabbing because Tae-poong gets to know about the infamous promissory note. He decides to use that aspect in his favour after learning that Bak-ho’s company had already ordered gloves and now they are desperate to sell them as soon as possible. He goes to Bak-ho and strikes a deal that he cannot back out of.

The endless saga of Tae-poong and the Typhoon Company facing bad situations might finally end in the next couple of episodes. Hopefully, the characters will get over their financial losses and manage to have some peace after suffering for so long. At least the internal relationships are thriving here.
