The episode starts with a look into Cheong-ah’s life. As she grew up with hearing impairment, life had been difficult for her since childhood. Her mother taught her sign language, but she was sent to another tutor to give her speech lessons. However, the teacher was extremely abusive to her and often locked her up in the basement as a punishment.

As her life was miserable, she met Yi-chan who arrived like a ray of sunshine. Whenever she was in a bad situation, either by coincidence or fate, he always arrived to rescue her. Which is why, her feelings for him started to grow and she fell in love with him. But since Se-kyung comes back, she thinks she is too late to express her love towards him.

On the other hand, Se-kyung starts to become closer to Yi-chan. She asks him out on a date and slightly hints that she is interested in him. This exchange between Se-kyung and Yi-chan bothers Eun-gyeol but he cannot keep the two away from each other. However, he tries every possible thing to keep the two apart from each other. Meanwhile, the band has finally formed and they start to practice for the festival.

However, Yi-chan arrives the next day and tells his bandmates that he wants to change the setlist. The request does not sit well with Eun-gyeol as Yi-chan was giving Se-kyung more priority than the band itself. The two of them get into a fight which results in Eun-gyeol quitting the band. He leaves Yi-chan’s house and starts to live in the streets again. While he is wandering in the streets, he gets a phone call again asking him to find the true reason why he was sent in the past.

Yi-chan starts to feel guilty about his actions so he goes to find Cheong-ah to apologise to her. But as she was suffering from a high fever, she almost collapsed. Luckily, Yi-chan holds her and takes her to the hospital. Eun-gyeol at the same time is also admitted to the hospital after suddenly getting an electricity shock due to heavy rainfall while holding the mic onstage, at the college festival.

Meanwhile, the electricity also goes out at Se-kyung’s place due to the rainfall and thunder. As she walks out of the house, she notices a public telephone ringing even after it had been out of order for days. The episode ends on that note.
