Twinkling Watermelon Ending Explained: The series has finally come to an end with the final episode airing on November 14, 2023, on tvN network. However, the last few minutes showcased a lot of instances which answer many questions, however, it can also be hard to follow. The K-drama Twinkling Watermelon or Sparkling Watermelon (반짝이는 워터멜론) is directed by Son Jong-hyun and written by Jin Soo-Wan. Ryeoun, Choi Hyun-wook, Seol In-ah and Shin Eun-soo will be appearing in the lead roles for the show. The show is expected to have a total of 16 episodes with a runtime of approximately 60 minutes each.

A 15.6 billion won production and supply agreement for the show was signed by production companies Pan Entertainment and Studio Dragon on September 5, 2023. The show takes over tvN’s Monday & Tuesday 8:50 time slot previously occupied by My Lovely Liar.

Eun-gyeol tried hard to save Yi-chan from going through a life-altering accident which led him to lose his hearing ability. However, he could not change the future and Yi-chan eventually ended up in the hospital and shared the fate of the past. Nevertheless, there are many things that he was able to correct which drastically changed the family’s future.

What happened to Yi-chan and Cheong-ah?

When Yi-chan arrives back to his real life, in the year 2023 to be precise and struggles to follow what is happening around him. He tries to find information on his mother Cheong-ah and realises that she was able to graduate with meritious scores. Moreover, she also invested her time in teaching sign language to the masses and became one of the prominent names in the country.

On the other hand, Yi-chan did not do the things he did previously. He did not lose connection with his friends from high school and they all maintained a good relationship. Moreover, he managed to set up one of the most famous guitar brands in the country. He shares his life story to the audience and also plays the guitar for them.

Did Yi-chan find out about Eun-gyeol?

When Eun-gyeol met Yu-chan he grew very emotional and they shared a hug. However, while leaving for the perfomance, a cassette fell from his pocket and it was the same song that Yi-chan had produced during his high school days for Eun-gyeol. Then he suddenly realises that Eun-gyeol was the one who he met during school and helped him through life. Moreover, the other band members also thought that Eun-gyeol looked like someone similar they met before which further confirms Yi-chan’s doubts.

What happened to Eun-gyeol and Eun-yu?

Eun-yu took some time to reach in the prsent because her bike broke down in the midddle of the journey. However, she managed to go the shop and finally arrive back to her real life. During the performance, Eun-gyeol sees a glimpse of Eun-yu and he leaves the stage to meet her. They eventually meet and she explains why she was late in getting back to her life. They both share a romantic kiss, starting a new found relationship with each other.
