After crying out on the streets, Su-hyeok drops Bo-ra home. However, having drank so much wine, she throws up as soon as she steps inside. Bo-mi has already been worried about her sister & when she doesn’t answer her from inside the bathroom, she unlocks the door with the key & finds Bo-ra covered in red colour. While it’s all the red wine that she puked out, Bo-mi takes it as blood & starts crying.

Seeing her little sister being worried like that makes Bo-ra come back to her senses. She decides to not put the people around her in such worry, that they have to think about life and death & decides to gather her scattered life together. After a long time, she checks her direct messages on Instagram from her fans which really comfort her, as they shared their own breakup stories. She also visits the hospital for a check-up & is happy to know that she didn’t catch a cold but alcoholic gastritis.

From cleaning herself up to the house, Bo-ra decides to get rid of everything that Ju-wan gave her or reminded her of him. On the other hand, Bo-mi has better plans for all the discarded clothes & accessories & decides to sell them on the second-hand online market. Along with these things, the lease of the house is also getting over, urging Bo-ra to look for a new one.

While Bo-ra is house hunting, Bo-mi gets a text from her, asking for money & to transfer it to a bank account belonging to the landlord. She thinks that her sister is signing the lease for the new house today only & thus transfers 40 million won to the given account. Simultaneously, Yu-jeong also gets the text but she calls Bo-ra up & decides to meet.

There she gets more texts from her friend, even though she was sitting right in front of her & definitely not even using her phone. She shows the texts to Bo-ra & to warn other people of this impersonation scam, Bo-ra puts up a post of the message phishing going on. Looking at the post, Su-hyeok contacts Bo-ra about it & turns out that even he fell for the scam & transferred 5 million won to the scammer’s account.

At home, Bo-mi also gets startled by the post & asks her sister about it. The more they converse, the more she realises what a grave mistake she had done by transferring 40 million won to the scammers. Not being able to stop her tears from flowing, they file a complaint at the police station but rather get taunted by them for not being aware enough.

Su-hyeok also reaches there making things much worse, as she asks him why didn’t he check with her, instead of sending the money directly. It makes him feel like she is blaming him for getting scammed, whereas nobody is at fault. He snaps at her & goes away requesting her not to meet again.

At home, Bo-ra can’t bring herself to even scold her sister & figures out that her contact list got hacked from her mail. While she assured her sister that they have enough money, in reality, she is worried about signing the lease for a new house & not having sufficient funds. That’s when she comes across the book contract from Sang-jin & the signing amount makes her think if she should sign a book deal.

Keeping her ego aside, Bo-ra heads to the publishing company to sign the contract, despite having clearly said no to the idea of selling her story, post-breakup. Meanwhile, there’s something brewing between U-ri & Sang-jin as they try to help each other & even Jin-ho is finding his way back to Bo-mi, as he coincidentally bids for an oversized hoodie on the second-hand marketplace, which is sold by her.

Final Thoughts: True to Love Episode 6

It’s good to see Bo-ra getting her spirits back & trying to look at the bright side of things. With her moving to a new house & signing the book deal, we will be seeing the bickering duo a lot more and might even add Jin-ho to the pairing. The segment where Bo-ra’s fans shared their own heartbreaks was really comforting to watch & definitely helped Bo-ra in standing up for herself. Also, the new OST from the drama by Kang Seung-yoon was released which is titled Half & Half and was featured in the last episode as well as today.

True to Love (Bo-ra! Deborah) is currently available to watch on Amazon Prime Video.
