Trolley episode 7 starts with Hye-joo going to Seung-hee’s place at the allotted time. Meanwhile, the latter furiously calls her mother and then instructs her not to bring Ki-young with her when she comes home, in light of his previous comment questioning whether Hye-joo had really framed her brother.
On the other hand, Woo-jae informs Joong-do that Hye-joo had asked him about the video leak, but more importantly, he informs him that he’s done with gathering information in Youngsan. Joong-do immediately calls him to know everything, and the truth leaves him shocked and confused.

After her work is done, Yoo-sin tells Ki-young that Seung-hee has asked her not to bring him home and thinking back to her wife’s previous claims, a scared Ki-young goes through his mother-in-law’s phone and eventually calls Joong-do.
As Hye-joo makes her way to Youngsan, Joong-do frantically calls her but to no avail. She turns her phone off, and a desperate Joong-do makes his way to Seung-hee’s house. Meanwhile, Ki-young takes Yoo-sin away from the scene of the action.
At Seung-hee’s, she continues to bully Hye-joo in preparation for making her apologise to her mother. Outside, an angry Joong-do rings the bell to get to his wife. He’s furious, and as he’s about to crash his car into their gate, Seung-hee finally lets him in. Once inside, he tries to take Hye-joo away from Seung-hee, but she is adamant about apologising.
She tells Seung-hee that it’s true that a horrible tragedy happened, and Hye-joo agrees to apologise to her mother if that will make her feel better. Regardless of her intentions, things turned horrible, and she’s apologetic about it. But when Seung-hee asks her to tell the world the ‘truth’, Hye-joo refuses.

That, even though things turned out this way, whatever she had said was the truth – Seung-ho did try to molest her, and with his death, she was never proven to be telling the truth. Thus, she was also a victim of this tragedy.
However, Seung-hee doesn’t see it like that and continues to blame Hye-joo for everything that happened to their family. Unfortunately for her, when she brings up Ji-hoon not being Hye-joo’s biological son, she gets slapped, and Joong-do warns her not to contact her henceforth or risk facing the repercussions. Anyway, Seung-hee decides to double down on her hatred.
No worries, though, Woo-jae is on it and nicely threatens Ki-young, reminding him of the spectacle that will take place if they decide to malign Hye-joo’s name. Meanwhile, Seung-hee talks to Soon-hong about the situation, but he, too, asks her to back down, but not without a trick up his own sleeve.
Back home, Joong-do asks Hye-joo not to apologise or do anything about her past and assures her that he trusts her, regardless of what anyone says.

Later, after saving Gwi-soon’s life, who tried to commit suicide after her granddaughter’s tragic fate, Hye-joo realises how the past is reliving itself. That regardless of how far she tries to go from it, the past seems to catch up to her in one way or another. Joong-do comforts her and tells her that he will ensure that nothing like this will ever happen again.
Inside the house, however, he threatens Soo-bin to stay away from Hye-joo when she enquires whether she is ok or not. It’s a night of tension and stress for everyone around as everyone reels from the different traumas in their lives.
Trolley Episode 7 Ending
As the situation at Seung-hee’s house becomes more and more intense and stressful, Soo-bin continues to go through her own issues, which include a call from ‘JD’. On the other hand, Seung-hee learns of Seung-kyu’s mother’s suicide attempt and immediately takes it as a call for revenge. Meanwhile, Joong-do proposes to bring a bill into play that will push the prosecution to continue investigating sex crimes after the alleged perpetrator’s death while Hye-joo meets Ki-young, her admirer of the past.
Trolley Episode 7 Review

With Joong-do now knowing Hye-joo’s past, it’s almost sweet to watch him take his wife’s side wholeheartedly. But why the hostility towards Soo-bin? Is there something that we don’t know, or is it just because he doesn’t trust her? Soo-bin’s character is really underdeveloped at the moment, and I feel like there could be so much more there.
On the other hand, we are focusing too much on Seung-hee where I feel like the focus is unwarranted. Like, sure, she’s vindictive and has been emotionally abused for far too long, but it’s just that there’s a limit to how much blind you can be, and my limit is reached when you re-victimise a victim of assault.
However, Joong-do’s political life mixed with Hye-joo’s past seems like an awfully convenient plot device that I am not sure is working currently. That all might change, however, depending on where they want to take this.
Trolley is streaming on Netflix.
