Too Hot To Handle Season 5 Trailer: LANA’s Fruity Rules Still Can’t Halt Mission “Love Overboard”

Remember all those bootless, in-the-face rules set up by the witty inanimate cone-shaped host of the sensational Netflix dating show? Well, it (she?) is coming back to stop the heat from turning up again, as teased by the much-awaited scandalous and melodramatic Too Hot To Handle Season 5 trailer.

Call it fickle, shallow, or what you will, there’s no denying that almost everyone shares a guilty pleasure interest in what trash TV talks have to offer (or not). For reasons known to all, possibly the most beloved character of all in a show like this has become the purple-tinted cone host, LANA, a virtual assistant, who tries its best to keep adults in control and stop them from being consumed by their own sexual drives. And, as always, it fails to do so. It would be rather easier to maintain decorum among kids, than it is to actually hold it among these singles ready to mingle.

Still from the trailer.

Now, with the summer season heating up, so are the urges of these eligible bachelors and bachelorettes to get together and spice up their days ahead. The upcoming season again promises the same old, but this time on a majestic big yacht as the initial facade, while LANA does everything in its capabilities to tame their sexual yearnings.

If for some reason, you hadn’t chanced upon this dating show yet, it has been created by Laura Gibson and Charlie Bennett, and its first season premiered back in 2020. Merely three years down the lane, it has already garnered endless views and is already mounting back up for the fifth ride. Ironically, despite being the one inanimate entity on speaking terms, the show’s virtual host happens to be the only creature (if we can call it that) with feelings and care for long-lasting relationships, and so its propagates the same idea, conveying its best to the respective 10 contestants of each season to carry forth the friendships and bonds formed on the TV series for a lifetime journey.

However, we all know that this contest’s planned goals are only designed to fail. As soon as each of these contestants lay eyes on each other, they initiate their meaningless and frivolous flings with each other. LANA earnestly attempts to instil the bare rules of the concept that bar them all from kissing one another, or acting upon their desire for physical intimacy, but all in vain.

As can be expected of the individuals driven by their libido, each time they enter into any such means of gratification and break a rule, the money prize is cut down. The initial setup will try its best to fool these people by welcoming them to a supposed yacht party, until their spirits all crumbling down upon hearing the infamous voice of the cone-shaped conscience awaiting their arrival at the villa. The upcoming instalment of the Netflix reality show is set to pitch a high money prize of $200,000, which, as is inevitable, will be brought down owing to the contestants’ shenanigans.
