Just when we thought we’d seen the last of the Zoolander meme videos, we were proved wrong by the unlikeliest alliances of TOMORROW X TOGETHER and Jonas Brothers! Seeing them together in the same screen frame is like a dream come true for the OG Disney fans, who’re now equally into K-pop music. While this Kpop X Western collaboration may not have been on our wishlist (only because we never thought it could happen), we can’t stop thinking about it anymore. This is everything and more than what we’d asked for.
BigHit Music had unveiled a goofy poster on their social media platforms with the “Coming Soon” text plastered on it on June 15, 2023, stating that TXT would be release a digital single in July 2023. However, the reveal remained cryptic for all because neither the release date, nor the track title was highlighted in this announcement.
Jump to June 22, 2023 (KST), exactly a week later, a follow-up reveal with the same font theme finally opened up the big surprise hiding underneath – the new Kpop meets western artist collaboration that no one saw coming – the Do It Like That reveal featuring the American boy band trio Jonas Brothers.
Along the same route, to push for better promotions and interactions on the internet, the Jonas Brothers took to their social media handle and shared a meme-worthy candid moment with the HYBE K-pop quintet. The video first features Joe being bumped into by two people, who eventually turn around to reveal themselves as the TXT members – the eldest Yeonjun and the youngest Huening Kai. Then channeling their chaotic inner Zoolander energies, members of each group break out into playing out the entire viral meme sequence, ending on a crazy twist with Nick switching sides and declaring that he’s not the other Jonas Brothers’ “Bruh”.

Although this news seemed to have dropped out of nowhere, but it also seems like the One Republic frontman, Ryan Tedder was the one who made this one in a million possibility come to fruition. Joe Jonas’ latest tweet makes this assertion clear enough, “So pumped to be working with @txt_bighit!! When @ryantedder brought us TOGETHER for #DoItLikeThat”.
A scheduler has also been listed down for the upcoming fun-tactic merging of two different worlds brought together by music. The track highlight will tease what the song sounds like on June 22, at 11AM ET or June 23 at 12AM KST. After that, a concept photo disclosing the visual theme of the shocking collaboration will be outed on July 5, at 11AM ET or July 6, at 12AM KST. Finally the official music video for the awaited track will drop on July 7, 2023.
TOMORROW X TOGETHER have a happening schedule lined up ahead. In addition to their song with the American trio, they’re also releasing their 2nd Japanese Album SWEET on July 5, 2023, and will be headlining the 2023 Lollapalooza Chicago event in August.
