Tomorrow is an MBC Korean drama-fantasy series airing internationally on Netflix. The series has a total of 16 episodes and follows Jun-woong, who, after ending up in a coma after a near-fatal car accident, starts working with Grim Reapers in Jumadeung. He and his teammates, Ryeon and Ryung-gu, stop people in the Land of the Living from committing suicide and help them find a way to come out of the mindset.
The series promises viewers a cathartic experience and brings forth different situations where morality is continuously questioned. The series also brings forth the concept that there is hope even when all feels hopeless and holding on and having patience can bring fruitful results. At the end of each story, there’s lots of hope, and sometimes tears. The series stars Rowoon, Kim Hee-seon, Lee Soo-hyuk, and Yun Ji-on, alongside other cast members.
Tomorrow episode 10 was quite a stimulating episode which was handled quite delicately and with a lot of care. It brought forth the hypocrisy of society when sexual assault is concerned, the plight of the victims and their families, why people feel the way they do and how the perpetrators get away after causing so much physical and psychological damage because the law refuses to acknowledge the intensity and seriousness of the crime. It also brings forth how victim-blaming is still prevalent in the 21st century and, more often than not, going to the court results in more trauma for the victims.
Thanks to the nature of the episode, Twitter, too, had a lot to say about it.
