Still From Tokyo Revengers Season 2

When the first season ended, fans felt endless frustration because of the massive cliffhanger of the last episode that left many questions unanswered. This is why the hype around this anime is insane, and we are sure it will live up to it.

Director Hatsumi Kouichi, who also worked in anime like Darling in the FranXX, Deadman Wonderland, Hunter x Hunter, etc, will handle the direction for the series. Studio LIDENFILMS which handled the first season of this anime will be returning for this season. They have worked on Koi to Uso, Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches, Yofukashi no Uta, etc.

The opening song will be White Noise (ホワイトノイズ), performed by Official HIGE DANdism, and the ending theme will be Kizutsu kedo, Aishiteru. (傷つけど、愛してる。), performed by TUYU.

I have tried my best to keep the review as spoiler free as possible, but there are certain elements that I had to mention to give proper feedback.

Tokyo Revengers Season 2 Episode 7 Review and Recap – Never Back Down

Another episode of Tokyo Revengers is here, and we are back again with a review of how this episode went. This episode starts from the moment Taiju tearfully decides that he will have to kill his sister. He really is not right in the head as he professors his love for his family and at the same time, thinks that it is best to end Yuzuha’s life.

When Takemichi reprimands him as to why he would do this to his own siblings, Taiju counters him by saying that she is the one who tried to stab him in the first place, so it is fair that he, too, beats her to death.

Seeing that Hakkai is too scared of his brother to even move to protect his sister, Takemichi decides to step up himself and as usual, gets beaten. Thankfully by that time, Mitsuya comes in and saves both Takemichi and Yuzuha for the time being. Then he starts to fight Taiju, where he is not getting beaten like Takemichi but is not causing any damage to Taiju either. Chifuyu finally joins the group as well, as he too gets released by Mitsuya.

It was Chifuyu who called Mitsuya without telling Takemichi as a backup if Kisaki decided to betray them as he did. But that is not all, Inui attacks Mitsuya from behind, and Kokonoi joins Taiju’s side, turning the course of the fight completely against Takemichi and his friends.

After all the main characters come into the scene, begins the primary brawl. And by the end of the episode, one thing was clear there is definitely a secret behind Hakkai’s fear of Taiju, which disables him to challenge his brother in a fair fight. We also see another display of Takemichi’s courage which reestablishes his only redeeming quality, and that is to never give up in the face of peril.

Verdict

As this episode continues the fight between the Shiba siblings without giving us any ultimate conclusion, it feels a little lengthy. There are questions that they have not given any answers to yet, so it is a tad frustrating in the end to think that we will have to wait another week to know what will be the conclusion of this entire fight. Watch this anime on Hulu.
