To My Beloved Thief Episode 14 Recap
Eun-jo makes a bold confession revealing that she’s indeed Gil Dong. Jae-i, the man who secretly loves her doesn’t believe her at first but then when she proves the point, he realises who she truly is. As the truth sets in, Jae-i gives up on arresting Yi Yeol as he knows Eun-jo will be at grave danger. However one of the posters where the Gil Dong’s partner has a silhouette similar to Yi Yeol is caught by Sa-hyeong’s men and the man himself believes Yi Yeol might be involved.

Additionally, Hae-rim also learns that Eun-jo is Gil Dong but she gives her full support. She knows that Gil Dong is a symbol of protecting the commoners hence she stands firm alongside Eun-jo. Soon after, Jae-i and Yi Yeol meet privately and agree on one thing. Eun-jo must be protected at all costs. Whatever their differences, both men decide to ensure her safety. Damn lucky girl.
As Sa-hyeong now believes Gil Dong has supporters, he orders his men to find those people who have benefitted from Gil Dong. His men torture the common people and decides to continue the act until Gil Dong turns up. Eun-jo feels miserable as she wants to help. Given Yi Yeol has travelled out of the country to find about the incense, Eun-jo has no other option but to turn in as the most wanted Gil Dong.

Jae-i tries to speak sense into the King and make him stop Sa-hyeong given if Gil dong turns up it is indeed Eun-jo who is going to be harmed. Sadly the King who is already paranoid doesn’t bother about it. Jae-i then decides to surrender as Gil Dong and he locks Eun-jo at his home. Jae-i then writes a letter to his father stating that he is the real Gil Dong. Sa-hyeong doesn’t bother and continues to find Jae-i and arrest him.

As the torture continues and Jae-i enters the scene, his plan is crushed when plenty of people dressed up as Gil Dong appear and we realise Eun-jo and her team have come up with a plan. Eun-jo then escapes and the distraction caused by her team helps her to spare the prisoners and also mock Sa-hyeong. Evidence of Sa-hyeong poisoning the King comes out and he is arrested.

But as expected, the dumb King doesn’t bother much and is still obsessed with Gil dong. Towards the end of the episode, Yi Yeol comes right on time as Eun-jo was planning to surrender. With danger around them, the episode ends with the two kissing as they decide its time to get the King right on mind.
To My Beloved Thief Episode 14 Review
Eun-jo’s confession as Gil Dong shifts the story from secrecy to a shock. Jae-i’s internal conflict becomes a challenge for him as he chooses love and morality over law. The chaos sparked by the multiple masked figures is not just visually thrilling but is also a powerful scene showing how unity can work when people co operate for the well being.

What elevates the episode further is its emotional payoff. Yi Yeol’s timely return and unwavering support for Eun-jo reinforce the depth of their bond, transforming their romance into an act of resistance. The exposure of Sa-hyeong’s manipulation adds satisfying narrative justice, while the King’s spiralling instability raises the stakes for what lies ahead. The final kiss is not merely romantic, it feels like a vow made in the face of inevitable danger, leaving viewers breathless and desperate for resolution.
