The Witch And The Beast Episode 4 Review and Recap – The Walking Dead
In this episode, we get to know about another very interesting supernatural occurrence, which is the practice of necromancy. Necromancy is a forbidden type of magic where a necromancer has the ability to resurrect the dead, and in this series, there are many rules before one can perform this magic.

The necromancer must get the patient’s permission or their second-degree relative’s or a higher-degree relative’s consent before performing this spell. Also, at the time of casting the magic, the necromancer must disclose every information regarding the process because of the serious risks involved in necromancy.
This anime deals with many fascinating topics, and today, we stumble upon souls who can’t rest even after death. As the idea of necromancy goes against the natural flow of things, many do not support this practice. It is even banned in many states, but not in the one where the current plot is taking place.
At first, we do see our duo Guideau and Ashaf, but when they discover that this time the problem is with the walking dead, they recommend Phanora and Yohan. Phanora is a beautiful and mysterious necromancer who travels with her servant/assistant Yohan. She has a pale complexion, and you feel chilly when you go near her.
They team up with the officers and investigate cases of rampant undead, who are getting out of control in the city. In the beginning, necromancy used to be underdeveloped, and the dead almost looked like zombies. But now, it has become more sophisticated, and one almost cannot differentiate between an undead and a human anymore.

But to keep these undead in good condition, a Necromancer must perform maintenance on them frequently, otherwise, they can become mindless creatures. And this is exactly what is happening, indicating someone is illegally messing with the dead bodies.
This episode was mostly informational. We got a detailed explanation about necromancy and an introduction to the new characters. This new pair looks very promising, and the ending definitely made me excited for the next episode.
Verdict
This episode was very engaging, and the gothic vibe is especially nice. It heightens the mystery factor, and the fact that we are dealing with the dead adds to the dark allure. So, if you are still not watching this, I will definitely recommend you to check this out.
