In this season, there is a major cast change- Mat Cauthon is being played by Donal Finn instead of Barney Harris.
Some new characters are entering this universe in the second season. It includes Ceara Coveney as Elayne Trakand, Ayoola Smart as Aviendha, Meera Syal as Verin, Natasha O’Keeffe as Selene, Maja Simonsen as Chiad, Ragga Ragnars as Bain, Jay Duffy as Dain Bornhald, and Rima Te Wiata as Sheriam Bayanar.
