The Uncanny Counter Season 2: Who is Joining the Cast? When is The K-drama Releasing?

The Uncanny Counter Season 2 is the second instalment of the mystery Korean drama. After the confirmation of the second season, production began in a few days, and tvN picked up the series. The show is based on the webtoon of the same name, and the story centres around demon hunters who pose as workers in a noodle shop in an effort to catch evil spirits hoping to find eternal life.

The first season of the series was released on November 28, 2020, with a total of 16 episodes and a runtime of approximately 50-55 minutes.

The Uncanny Counter Season 2 Cast

The drama consists of five lead actors, who are the counters that defeat the deadly demons: Jo Byeong Gyu as So Moon, Yoo Joon Sang as Ga Mo Tak, Kim Sejeong as Do Ha Na, Yeom Hye Ran as Choo Mae Ok, and Ahn Suk Hwan as Choi Jang Mool. Each of the actors is confirmed to return for the second season. Apart from the leads, Jin Sun Kyu, Kang Ki Young, Kim Hieora, and Yoo In Soo have all been cast in the series.

Jin Sun Kyu will take up the role of Joo Seok, a hearty firefighter who saved So Moon. He is someone who cannot tolerate any kind of injustice. Kang Ki Young of Extraordinary Attorney Woo and The Glory actress Kim Hieora will appear as the menacing villains of the series. Kang Ki Young will play the role of Pil Gwang, a demon who wishes to become the top predator with the deadliest power, while Kim Hieora will be playing the role of pure evil Gelly. Lastly, Yoo In Soo of All of Us Are Dead, and Alchemy of Souls will be taking on the role of the newly recruited counter, Jeok Bong.

The Uncanny Counter 2 Release Date

The date for the release of the upcoming K-drama is not yet released; however, it is expected that it will tentatively premiere in the second half of 2023. Moreover, The Uncanny Counter 2 will air as a Saturday-Sunday drama. The series was previously aired on OCN, but it is taken over by tvN for the second season.
